

Claudia is an Italian patent and trademark attorney, also admitted before the European Union Intellectual Property Office for Trademarks and Designs.
She is a PhD in Physics (University of Rome “Tor Vergata”) and has a four-year degree in Physics, University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
From 2008 to 2012, she worked at SMEs involved in environmental and energy technologies as project manager of several Italian and EU cooperative projects. During this period, she also worked as patent translator freelance focusing her interests on the IP field.
From 2003 to 2009, Claudia worked as researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” mainly on carbon based materials for opto-electronical devices.
From 2004 to 2011, she has been co-author of eighteen papers on nanotechnology published in international peer-review scientific journals.
She joined IP Sextant in 2013 to support and develop the firm’s growing portfolio in the field of engineering, in particular electronics, nanotechnology and nanomaterials.
Also, she often lectures on IP subjects.

Andrea is a European Patent Attorney and a European Patent Litigator, is admitted before the European Union Intellectual Property Office for Trademarks and Designs, and he is an Italian IP Attorney.
He has a five-year degree in Electronic Engineering, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with academic background in hardware, software, telecommunication and remote sensing.
From October 1996 to April 2012, Andrea was affiliated with one of the largest Italian IP firm in Rome, where he received in-house legal training. In 1998 and 1999, he completed several patent law internships in the U.S. and U.K. From 1994 to 1996, he was a designer of software applications and an engineer expert on informatic technologies. Andrea has been co-author of a paper in remote sensing and of an IP manual.
In April 2012, Andrea entered private practice by establishing IP Sextant.
Besides prosecuting IP rights in Europe, he often acts as Court appointed expert in patent and copyright lawsuits in Italy, and he regularly acts as party expert as well.
He is a tutor for the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) National Basic Course in Rome since 2006, and a tutor for the European Patent Institute (EPI) since 2010.
Also, Andrea regularly lectures on IP subjects.
He is a member of AIPLA since 2002 and of AIPPI since 2006.
Andrea is Italian mother tongue and fluent in English.
Antonella has been working as Patent and Trademark Paralegal since 2002.
She joined IP Sextant in 2013 to support and assist patent and trademark attorneys in managing the procedural steps relating to IP rights including patents, designs, copyrights, and trademarks.
Antonella performs paralegal and administrative tasks. Her current duties include managing all procedural duties with the European Patent Office, the International Bureau of WIPO, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Italian PTO. To this end, she contributes to the correspondence with clients and foreign associates.
She updates and maintains our IP docketing and annuity management system (Patricia IP Software from Patrix), further creating and maintaining deadlines calendar for attorneys.
Antonella is Italian mother tongue and has a degree for interpreter and translators in English and French.
Alessandro is a mechanical engineer and an Italian patent attorney with an industrial design background.He is in the industrial property field since 2011, carrying out drafting, filing and prosecution of patent or design applications in Italy and abroad, consulting activities with reference to report drafting about patentability, freedom to operate, validity and counterfeiting of patent or design rights, due diligences, prior art researches, patent and design portfolio management, patent litigations.
He is also specializing (and currently partly qualified) as European patent attorney.
Valentina is a European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator, as well as an Italian Patent Attorney.
She graduated in 2003 in Electronical Engineering and obtained, in 2006, a Ph.D degree in Bioengineering, both at “Università degli Studi di Padova” (Padua).
Valentina also spent part of her Ph.D at the Medical Center of the Pittsburgh University in the US.
Right after her Ph.D she entered the IP field and joined IP Sextant in February 2018.
Valentina prosecutes and litigates IP rights, in particular patents, designs and copyrights, in Italy, at the EPO and throughout the European Union and provides legal and technical advice on different aspects of IP law.
Valentina is a tutor for the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) National Basic Course in Rome.
